Braemar Celebrates the Jubilee in Style

A weekend to remember beginning with an interview on BBC's "Good Morning Scotland" of four local ladies with their memories of the Queen.  The four were Mary MacNaught, Norma Sudworth, Sheila Bernard and Eve  Soulsby, who all had fascinating and couthy stories to tell of the Royals in the area around the time of the Coronation.

Other weekend highlights included Crathie's Jubilee Fayre, the Castleton Dancers's weekend (page  5), the Scottish Orienteering Championships (page 8), Braemar's Street Party (ably masterminded by Carole Paterson), St. Margaret's Jubilee Concert - which raised almost £1,000 towards the new Castle roof (page 7) and Beacon lighting.
